Driven by Makita’s 40VMax XGT battery, the VR001G 40VMax XGT Concrete Vibrator can be operated in two power modes. For a wider range of concrete aeration applications on smaller concrete applications such as floors, steps, patchwork and post work, the power setting provides 15,500 vibrations per minute. For delicate works such as step finishing or where the flow of concrete must be minimised, the normal setting can be applied to facilitate 12,000 vibrations per minute. To ensure maximum productivity, the vibrator will achieve a continuous run time of approximately 50 minutes in normal power mode, when used with a 4.0Ah battery and a ø32mm-1.2m shaft.
The VR001G Vibrator’s protective switch cover ensures the trigger and lock-on button are shielded from any splashes and hardened material that can cause blockages and jamming. The tool also features a constant speed control option, to enable stable and consistent compaction work.
For increased working and flexibility, the VR001G can also be powered by Makita’s portable power packs PDC01 and PDC1200, when used with an adaptor set (model 191N62-4). Furthermore, the VR001G is light and compact and has been ergonomically designed with a comfortable contoured grip.
To accompany the launch, Makita has also released a number of flexible shaft sets to use with the tool (sold separately) in several length and diameter configurations to transmit vibration to a wider range and improve compaction efficiency, depending on application. The ø32mm vibration diameter is available in 1.2m, 1.7m, and 2.4m flexible shaft lengths, and the ø38mm is available in 1.2m or 2.4m.
On the latest launch, Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita said: “We are delighted to launch the new VR001 Vibrator to our XGT range. The 40VMax XGT platform now includes more than 90 compatible tools, making it simple for professionals to switch batteries between tools as required when working on high demand applications.”
