Makita’s new Angle Grinders GA004G (115mm) and GA005G (125mm) are powered by state-of-the-art XGT® technology. Thanks to XGT technology these grinders deliver the same amount of power as 1000 W corded grinders. They are also highly durable and safe.

Next generation power

GA004G and GA005G both have brushless motors and the 40v Max power source from the new XGT® batteries. This means they can deliver the same amount of power as an electric 1000 W corded grinder. The grinder’s cutting speed has been increased by 40% compared to its predecessor and it can reach a No Load Speed of 8500 min⁻¹. It is an ideal choice for cutting concrete with a diamond disc.

Durable and safe

The XGT angle grinders are highly durable with a larger bearing to support the motor. The new toolless wheel cover allows for fast angle adjustment. Active Feedback sensing Technology (AFT) shuts down the tool if the rotation speed suddenly slows down. These machines have a slide switch lock-on to make working more convenient, however additional models are available with a safety lock-of paddles switch.

Great work amount and fast charging

With the GA004G / GA005G models you achieve a lot of work on a single full battery charge (approximately 7m when cutting 20 mm deep into masonry with a 4,0 Ah battery. The new XGT® batteries are also fast charging as they take as little as 28 minutes to charge.
